Catherine Zimmerman

Cathy Zimmerman was raised on a farm in Middleburg where she lives with husband. Cathy attended the Hill School, Garrison Forest School, and the Corcoran School of Art.

Cathy's love of nature and the Virginia countryside is evident in her watercolors. She captures and conveys the emotions that connect us to the land and its non-human inhabitants.

She is a lifelong farmer, conservationist, fox hunter, fisherman, and artist. She has bottle fed countless pigs, calves, puppies, and assorted orphaned wildlife over the years. Her current husbandry includes horses, cattle, chickens, Christmas trees, grandchildren, dogs, and until recently, one housebroken pig.

Cathy welcomes visits to the studio at the house.
