She exhibits in art shows throughout the region in Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Over the years she has donated paintings to local animal rights and rescue organizations where she has won awards as well. She uses a variety of media in her work mostly focusing on pastels, but includes charcoal, acrylics, oils, watercolors and inks. Although, portraiture remains her first passion, she also enjoys a variety of subject matter from landscapes to still life. She teaches several times a week in pastels, acrylics, watercolors and oils. She has a website: carolwilks.net (Carol’s Impressions) as well as a separate page on Facebook (Carol's Impressions) which she continues to update with new paintings. Please feel free to browse through the website and Facebook galleries and let her know what you think. Her goal is to share the beauty of our world through her eyes, and the eyes of the animals she paints. Her pastels of animals she hopes will communicate the love and the commitment that we share with them.
