Paint Brush in Hand - Paints to Canvas - Pure Joy

Bea started painting while living in Huntington, New York on Long Island’s north shore. As a professional, her career was in marketing and public relations for both corporations and non-for-profit organizations.  This left precious little time for painting.

After moving to Massachusetts, her career and love of art overlapped when she became Director of Marketing and Public Affairs with the Norman Rockwell Museum at Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It was a very exciting time to be associated with the Norman Rockwell Museum  when it went from being a small house museum on the main street in Stockbridge to a world-renowned museum located on a campus two miles from town. Norman Rockwell’s studio was moved to the site. The Grand Opening of the new museum received national and international press coverage. Bea was part of the team that brought a Norman Rockwell Art Exhibition to Paris and was  a team player, promoting a national traveling exhibition in conjunction with the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. She was active in the Berkshire Tourism Bureau and served as a speaker at conventions promoting the arts and culture of Berkshire County to national and international audiences.

After moving to Leesburg, Virginia 25 years ago, Bea started painting again, taking lessons from renowned artists.  She became involved in the art world of Loudoun County, entering art shows and became a Board member of Art Square. In addition to her time painting in her studio, she paints weekly  with two friends, also local artists involved in the art scene.  She is the former editor of "Reflections" a Berkshire County lifestyle magazine.
