Patricia Hafkemeyer

Patricia Hafkemeyer is originally from Connecticut and has lived in Burke, Virginia for the last 27 years with her husband.  She taught for almost 40 years and after retiring from teaching, she was able to focus more on her artwork.  Pat's favorite themes are serene landscapes, vibrant florals, colorful birds, and all things nature.  She enjoys the detailed work of pen and ink and the different techniques used to obtain textures in her watercolor paintings.   

Pat has been an active member of The Loft Gallery in Occoquan, Virginia for the last 5  years, where she has a studio.  She is a board member of the Springfield Art Guild, a member of the Potomac Valley Watercolorists, and the Virginia Watercolor Society.  Pat has chaired several art shows for the Springfield Art Guild.  She has been in many juried art shows to include: Art at the Mill in Millwood, Green Spring Gardens in Annandale, the Goodwin House in Alexandria, the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, The Franconia Government Center, Open Space Art Gallery in Woodbridge, and the Tryon Painters and Sculptors in Tryon, NC.
