Rita DiPaolo: CaliCocoArts
Rita DiPaolo has always had an interest in creating, whether a garden or knitted goods. She has been a knitter for 25 plus years.
Always the creative, she was even a doodler when taking notes, both at school and in her work life. Rita graduated from Plymouth State University with BS in English Education. But it wasn’t until she stepped back from her profession as a trainer/facilitator that she began to focus on creating art more seriously.
Rita pursues and refines her art through in person and online classes in graphite, colored pencil, and watercolor painting. Her artwork consists of flora and fauna along with classic art.

1st Place in Drawing at the 2021 Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase, MD Community Art Show and Sale for her Colored Pencil piece, “Amaryllis”.
Honorable Mention in Drawing/Dry Media at the 2021, 77th Annual Waterford Fair Fine Art Exhibit Awards, Waterford VA for her Colored Pencil piece, “Butterfly”
Honorable Mention in Drawing/Dry Media at the 2022, 78th Annual Waterford Fair Fine Art Exhibit Awards, Waterford, VA for her Colored Pencil piece, “Magnolia”
Rita lives in Leesburg, VA and shows her work locally.
