Leanne Fink

LEANNE FINK creates representational art that is joyful, uplifting and imbued with unerring luminosity. She weaves the threads of beauty and healing into paintings that connect us with the natural world.

The artist states, "I will not be a name that rolls off the tongues of historians. I am a cog in the wheel of creative individuals worldwide. Others may dance with injustice, parry with war or poverty but I choose a positive viewpoint. And that is to elevate the regal beauty of the land, sea and sky."

The opalescent look Leanne achieves in her oil and cold wax paintings is an important part of her process, enabling the viewer to better understand how the artist sees the world. Like a royal symphony, her color palette bursts with richly saturated jewel tones held up by softly muted hues and neutrals. The lush texture of her paintings invites the eye to stay a while.

The artist continues, "There is a point when a painting seems to sing to me and I feel its healing vibration. My wish is that others will also sense this expressive energyOn a deeper level, I hope to raise awareness for the fragile beauty that surrounds us and give pause for reflection on our interactions with the natural world."

Art has been a way of life and a family tradition since early childhood. Leanne holds a BFA from Seton Hall University and a Doctorate from Life Chiropractic College. She has received awards of excellence for her work as well as recognition awards both national and regional. Select memberships include The Art League Gallery-Alexandria and AiM Gallery-Middleburg. She volunteers her time on the Art Advisory Board at Franklin Park Arts Center-Purcellville. Leanne Fink lives and works in Hamilton, Virginia, a suburb of the greater Washington, DC region. She may be reached at: (703) 999-5528 or lmf@leannefinkart.com
