Design, order and beauty have always been at the core of the way I see the world. My evolution
as an artist has been long. Creative people were not abundant in my world. Learning to focus on my creative side was always pushed aside to deal with the mundane. As I
prepared to start college the desire was great to see where this desire would lead. I pursued a
degree in Graphic Arts as the need for design and order were prevalent. Fine arts, the gateway
into self-expression, were difficult. Real life turned into raising a family and the arts were put aside. As the family became self sufficient,
I launched into more education with a focus of Interior Design, architectural drawing
and computer design. That need for order was still prevalent in my artistic endeavors, but
freedom of expression blossomed through difficulty.
Today, my work reflects these lifelong experience. I explore the interplay between everyday objects and the emotions they evoke. Using vibrant colors and dynamic compositions, I aim to transform simple still lifes into engaging narratives that resonate with viewers. The subjects I choose, often drawn from nature and domestic life, serve as a canvas for my fascination with texture and form. I find inspiration in the world around me—whether it’s the freshness of a everyday life or the quiet beauty of light as it plays with places I have visited. This connection to the ordinary allows me to convey a sense of warmth and familiarity, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences. My approach is rooted in a desire to celebrate the beauty in simplicity, revealing the stories that lie beneath the surface.Through my creative strokes, I strive to create a sense of movement and life, encouraging a dialogue between the viewer and the artwork. Each piece is an exploration of color and light, designed to evoke a feeling of joy and appreciation for the small moments that often go unnoticed. Ultimately, my art is a personal reflection of my journey, inviting others to share in the wonder of the everyday.
