Nancy Davis

Nancy Davis received her Bachelors of Science in Art from Madison College (James Madison University) in 1972 and a Masters of Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1980. She taught art at the secondary school level for seven years before moving to Northern Virginia and beginning a career with the U. S. Senate Sergeant-at-Arms (retired in 2013). Having painted with oils and acrylics, she began painting with watercolor in 2022 and it is now her primary medium. Nancy currently lives in Arlington, Virginia and enjoys painting a variety of subjects but her special interests are old buildings, objects with unique textures and compositions with distinct patterns of light and shadow.
