Linda Lawler is a Northern Virginia artist who resides and maintains a studio in Gore VA.  Linda works predominantly in oils, but also is adept at watercolor, pastels and drawing mediums.  She is a realist in style and is tightly rendered much like the Dutch Masters.

Linda is self-taught, but has studied under Danni Dawson, Robert Liberace and master illustrators, Donato Giancola, Rebecca Guay, Boris Vallejo and Dan Dos Santos.  For many years she continued her self-study through the Registered Copyist program at the National Gallery of Art in DC.  Her repertoire includes portraits, still life, animals, landscape and illustration.

Although semi-retired at this time, Linda is exploring pottery and sculpture.  She still shows her miniatures at the many miniature society shows and has received many awards for these paintings, no larger than the palm of your hand.

Linda has shown her art nationally at such shows as The Art League Gallery in Alexandria, The Arts for the Parks National Competition in Jackson Hole WY, The Allied Artists show at the Salmagundi Club, 5th Ave. New York, where she received the Elaine & James Hewitt Award for Oils and Acrylics, as well as numerous local and non-local shows.  Linda also owned and operated The Ice House Gallery in Little Washington, VA.

During her career she also taught private classes at her studio, The Center for The Arts in Manassas, Studio Frame in Warrenton, and Art Square in Leesburg.
