Janie Moltrup is an oil and watercolor painter who has been creating more than twenty years and has sold many of her works.  She has studied with Steve Hall, in Dedham, England, David Buckley Good and Fritz Briggs from the Schuler School of Fine Arts in Baltimore as well as Pam Wanger, a Nationally celebrated portrait artist.  She excels at painting landscapes and florals as well as her own whimsical creations.

She has regular painting sessions and workshops in her Smithsburg, Maryland studio.

She is a member of the Nature Printing Society.  Janie has earned a certificate from the NPS as a Master Fish Printer, and has been an instructor for several years at their annual workshops in North Carolina and Oregon.  

She is a member of Valley Art Association as well as serving  in various capacities for the Waynesboro, Pa. Studio Art Club. 

Janie has illustrated several children’s books. Her paintings hang in private collections and several of her paintings were commissioned. 

She is a  retired from the U.S. Senate as a Photographer.
