Emily Walker is a self-taught artist from Purcellville, Virginia. She’s loved drawing since she was a little kid and started drawing seriously with graphite pencils at age 14 in early 2016. She loves nature and animals and the beauty of nature and desire to create things is what inspires her.
A love of birds especially has been passed down from her Grandpa to her Mom then to Emily. Birds are one of her favorite subjects to draw partially due to their variation in all their shapes, sizes, colors, and patterns. There’s always something different to draw from majestic Hawks and Owls to tiny cute Hummingbirds.
Outside of drawing she enjoys watercolor painting, photography(which is where she sources most of her reference images for drawing), hiking, and taking care of her growing collection of windowsill plants.
