My art training started at the age of five with my grandpa, a professional watercolor painter specializing in flowers and birds. I had to complete at least three paintings before dusk every day. Not an amusing task for every child but it helped me build a solid foundation for painting and drawing. Later my interest veered towards oil painting after being exposed to its depth and richness of color. However, the smoothness and placidity of watercolor continue to affect my painting style. Vivid colors are used in each painting to bring vigorous contrast and cheerful spirit while the sleek lines and flowing strokes guide the viewers to a soothing and amicable land.

I graduated from Columbia university with master degrees in math and applied physics. Besides painting, I identify myself as an engineer and a freelance writer. I play piano, dance ballet and read French literature at my spare time, but most of the sunny days, I am just an inquisitive wayfarer wandering around the world.
