Audrey Witman is a visual artist residing in York, Pennsylvania. She is partially self taught, and educated via workshops at the York Art Association and online instruction. Instructors in various media have included Lynne Yancha AWS (watercolor), Kim Stone (soft pastel), Anita Williams (oil) and Deb Watson (watercolor), among others. Primarily a watercolorist, Audrey enjoys being a lifelong learner and exploring a variety of media including soft pastel, oils, and mixed media. Favored subjects include animals, the natural world and scenes of ordinary life. Her primary goal with her art is to capture the spirit and living energy she sees in her subjects.
A former Registered Nurse, Audrey has chosen to explore a variety of interests in her retirement . These include quilting, knitting, weaving, and gardening in addition to painting. She lives with her husband and her naughty Bengal cat, and enjoys spending time with her daughter and two grand daughters.
