Maureen Guillot is a landscape artist preferring to paint en plein air, but also paints in studio from her reference photos if the weather does not cooperate. She also paints still life and draws portraits. Her main medium is oils on canvas, but also will paint with pastels and watercolor on paper. She belongs to the Manassas Art Guild, Prince William Arts Society, p-ART-ners, Inc., Blandy Plein Air Artists, and NOVA Plein Air Artists. She skipped the Fine Arts Degree in college and instead received a degree in Sociology. She attends art seminars and classes taught by other highly trained artists to learn the different techniques in the art field.
