Sabine Arndt

Originally from Germany, now living in Loudoun County, VA. Creating pottery for the past 25+ years. Joined the Art League  in Alexandria in  2010. My artwork has been exhibited at the Art League Gallery, Gallery 75, WLAST (Western Loudoun Art Studio Tour), Art at the Mill, and the Purcellville Art Gallery. My teachers were Blair Meerfeld, Allison Severance,  Kathlyn Avila-Reyes, Goksin Carey, George Tkabladze and Kirsten Stingle. The outcome of my work is mostly wherever the muse and the clay take me. Hardly ever do I have "a plan" when starting new work.

My passion are animals and harmony with nature. I try to incorporate that love into my art-work. I want to create some whimsical, sometimes thought-provoking pieces that will make the observer smile and maybe dream a little.  My work is not intended to be perfect or industrial looking. On the contrary - I always do want a little bit of organic and natural elements shining through. That's why I sometimes incorporate other elements into my work like beads, wood, feathers and other organic matters.
