Putting oil to canvas is a passion ignited by the expansive American landscapes, representing an artistic journey deeply rooted in a lifelong connection with the natural world, nurtured since childhood. The Appalachian's of America offer an expansive canvas of natural beauty. This setting has consistently inspired her to capture the vivid colors and intricate textures of the landscape and flowers through abstract and contemporary artistic styles. With a rich history of presenting her landscape paintings in both group and solo exhibitions across the DC metropolitan area, Peri has had the opportunity to share her artistic vision through various galleries. Following an absence of 8 to 10 years from the art community, she eagerly anticipates unveiling her latest series, which features contemporary renditions of both dried and fresh flowers, adding a new dimension to her artistic portfolio. Peri: “My comfort is landscapes and is always a passion, my discomfort is florals and figurative abstracts and is current area of exploration.”
