While Pai spent her adulthood pouring all her creativity into teaching French and ESOL, she feels immense gratitude each day to have this chance to pursue her second vocation, a longtime dream fulfilled.
Pai is a self-taught artist finding her voice since 2020. She is drawn to a variety of media including acrylics, charcoal, and mixed media. She swings between vivid colors and monochromatic palettes, between free, loose work and tight control, one giving way to the other.
Pai's inspiration comes primarily from our shared human condition and the beauty of the world around us. She is particularly inspired by the strength of women and children across the world as well as the symbiotic relationship between nature and humankind.
