Based in Herndon, Virginia, Jean Wolf is an artist working in soft pastels, oils, and watercolors. With an eye toward Impressionism, Jean strives for paintings that evoke a sense of place, a precious moment captured in time. Jean studied art at Kent State University under a fine art scholarship and has furthered her studies through workshops with a wide variety of notable artists across the United States. After a lengthy career as a graphic designer, Jean is spending all her time and focus on fine art painting. She has exhibited in juried exhibitions at The Artists in Middleburg Gallery in Middleburg, VA; The Arts of Great Falls in Great Falls, VA; Art Space Herndon in Herndon, VA; and Art at the Mill Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 in Millwood, VA. Jean’s pastels have won awards from the quarterly international competitions held by Dakota Pastels as an emerging artist.
